This community is an invitation to practice transformation through language — one that is layered, relational, and intentional. Rooted in the workshop Dehumanized and Nonhumanized: The Colonizer’s Options, we gather not just to dissect the words/phrases themselves, but also to examine the logics behind them: the colonial choices that have shaped how we speak, how we relate, and how we see ourselves and each other.

Language under the colonial apparatus creates unnatural categories, and with them unnatural stress. In this space, we turn toward congruence: the alignment between what we say and who we are. Whether inherited, appropriated, or given, our words are frames. Some uphold humanity. Others distort it.

Each monthly session extends the work of the Language Redesign Lab, offering tools and reflection to uncover hidden logics, question survival scripts, and practice freer, more authentic expression in community. This is for those who feel the dissonance but haven’t been able to name it; who sense something is off, even if it’s been hidden.
